Ashfield Land has completed construction of Scotland’s first Topgolf ahead of 16 December opening
Ashfield Land has celebrated completion of construction of Scotland’s first Topgolf at its Two 74 development in Rutherglen, with the attraction opening to the public on Friday 16 December 2022.
Working with its main contractor, Luddon Construction, Ashfield Land achieved the Practical Completion of the building in November with final fit-outs now complete. The hotly-anticipated modern golf and entertainment experience is now opening, offering a new type of leisure attraction to Glasgow City region.
Topgolf Glasgow has created 300 new jobs from a multi-million pound investment in the area. The 45,000 sq ft golfing attraction features a three-tiered driving range with 72 climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays. The game is designed for all skill levels – from beginners to seasoned golfers.
Steven McGarva, Development Director at Ashfield Land, said: “There’s been a lot of excitement about opening Topgolf in Glasgow for some time now and it’s fantastic that the day has now come.
“We’re delighted with the transformation of the site at Two 74 – from unused brownfield land to a state-of-the-art new leisure facility, which has delivered hundreds of local jobs and millions of pounds of investment.
“It’s been a pleasure working with Topgolf, Luddon Construction, our design team and all of our other partners on this project. We can’t wait to tee off at Scotland’s first Topgolf and look forward to the facility being a success.”
Two 74 lies at Junction 2 of the M74 and is part of Clyde Gateway, Scotland’s biggest and most ambitious regeneration programme.
