Ashfield Land has signed its newest tenant to Pyramids Business Park in west Lothian with ocean industries engineering firm CSignum, taking a five-year lease on a 10,000 sq. ft. office and laboratory space.
CSignum provide dynamic communications transmission for ocean monitoring, enabling data-driven environmental management and accelerating sustainable ocean development.
Situated with excellent transport links, ample car parking and flexible office space that could be adapted to suit CSignum’s specific needs, the business saw Pyramids as the ideal location for its new head office.
Following initial discussions last year, Ashfield Land acted fast to agree to terms with CSignum and refurbish the office space so the engineering firm could move into its new head office in January.
Steven McGarva, Director at Ashfield Land, said: “CSignum is a fantastic addition to Pyramids. When the opportunity came up, we needed to be flexible and were fleet of foot to refurbish the space to meet the business’ unique needs. CSignum adds to the mix of tenants we have at Pyramids and we look forward to what we hope will be a long relationship with the business.”
Chris Brooks, CEO at CSignum, said: “CSignum needed to find a new office and laboratory space that would enable us to create a more exciting and interesting environment for our staff. After researching several possible sites in the area, we felt that Pyramids gave us what we needed from a facilities perspective as well as general office environment. The team at Ashfield Land had the agility to provide refurbishment options that met our needs perfectly.”
CSignum is the newest addition to the 375,000 sq. ft. Pyramids Business Park and joins other tenants including asset management firm Baillie Gifford, electronics provider Plexus and ITV studios.
Pyramids is just off Junction 3A of the M8, approximately 1.5 miles from Bathgate railway station and 10 miles from Edinburgh Airport with an on-site bus stop and facilities including a gym, childcare and catering facilities.
Last month, it was announced that Pyramids would be providing vital vaccination space to help NHS Lothian and the roll out of the Covid inoculation programme.
