Ashfield Land hires Nick Harris and Declan O’Neill

Ashfield Land has appointed Nick Harris as a Development Surveyor in its London office and Declan O’Neill as a Development Surveyor in its Glasgow office.

Both hires are part of Ashfield Land’s strategy of building back from the short-term impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the property market and ensuring it is ready to capitalize on new investment and development opportunities.

Declan O’Neill will support Ashfield Land Head of Scotland Steven McGarva. Nick Harris will work nationwide and alongside established Directors Claire Cope and Paul Jagroop.

Andrew Fisher, Managing Director at Ashfield Land, said: “It’s been a tough 18 months for everyone but we’re looking to turn the page, to invest in strategic new hires, and to offer the market an outstanding team with which to partner and do business. Declan and Nick arrive at an important time and we’re excited to have them on board. Our sights are very much set on the next wave of opportunities, we’re actively looking to invest, and our strengthened team will give us even more capability.”

Declan O’Neill joins Ashfield Land from J&E Shepherd where he worked in the valuation & agency team. Declan is a recently-qualified Chartered Surveyor with a RICS Registered Valuer accreditation.

Nick Harris joins from Lee Baron Group where he worked with private clients and was responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial and residential assets. Nick has an MSc in Real Estate development and is currently completing his APC.

Ashfield Land is actively investing and developing UK-wide. Current schemes in construction and on site include the redevelopment of the JVM Castings site in Worcester for a retail-led regeneration anchored by Lidl and the next phase of the Two 74 development near Glasgow with Topgolf.
