Robert Birch to spearhead growth drive across the Midlands region.
Ashfield Land has appointed Robert Birch as Lead Director in its Birmingham office.
Bringing 28 years of commercial property experience to the new role, Robert will concentrate on expanding Ashfield Land’s pipeline of development, investment and strategic land activity across the Midlands region.
Robert established his own consultancy business in 2004 and has worked for Coltham Developments, Helical Retail, Calthorpe Estates, Miller Developments and Lidl. In particular, he was instrumental in the delivery of the £85m ‘Parkgate’ regeneration scheme in Shirley town centre, near Solihull.
Robert Birch said: “Ashfield Land is a strong and successful national business with serious ambitions to expand in the Midlands region and I’m thrilled to be joining the company. It’s a great opportunity and, moving forward, it demonstrates that the Birmingham office of Ashfield Land is very much ‘open for business’.”
Andrew Fisher, Managing Director at Ashfield Land, said: “Robert is steeped in the Birmingham commercial property market and will bring additional strength into our business as we look to increase our activity in the region. We have resources in place to focus on suitable investment, development and strategic land projects and, with Robert now heading up the office, we can cover the Midlands market even more effectively.”
Ashfield Land owns and invests in commercial property across the UK and has a strong track record in development, investment and strategic land including retail and leisure, mixed-use, urban and town centre regeneration, industrial/distribution and business parks.
Ashfield Land’s current projects in the area include ‘Ionic Park’ in Dudley and ‘Rail Central’, a strategic rail freight interchange and distribution development at M1 J15A, as well as a 30 acre mixed-use development scheme on the A45 at Rushden.
