Steven McGarva has been appointed as our director in Scotland.

Steven, who was previously a partner at Graham + Sibbald, will be responsible for projects in Scotland and for future business development and expansion.

With current projects focused across the Central Belt, Steven will be based in our office in Glasgow. He said: “There are some very major projects in the pipeline – from significant housing-led regeneration to major mixed-use retail and leisure development, and we will be speaking more about these projects in the very near future.

“The company believes the market is returning in a significant and sustained way in Scotland, and it will be my job to build on what is already here and grow our presence in an even more substantial way.

“Ashfield Land has a proven pedigree, delivering a wide range of development projects throughout the UK. We are keen to talk to people in Scotland with development and investment opportunities – whether they have land or property to sell, or if they are looking for a joint venture partner with capital in order to deliver a project.”

Steven brings a wealth of experience in the Scottish market. He managed Graham + Sibbald’s Asset Management and Planning and Development team, and prior to that was a board director at Elphinstone Properties. He also has extensive public sector experience from his time working as director of Clyde Regeneration for Scottish Enterprise, and prior to that many years with the economic development agency in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
