05 Apr 2013

St Catherine’s Court, a prestigious £15 million Grade A office development in Bristol, is now fully let to high quality companies after property developer Ashfield Land secured the impressive building’s final tenant.

Saffery Champness, an independent top 20 firm of chartered accountants, has signed a 15-year lease for the fourth floor (6,805 sq ft) in the Clifton building. The firm is relocating from its existing offices at nearby Beaufort House and will take occupation this spring.

St Catherine’s Court is located in a prime commercial position on the western side of Bristol city centre, with excellent motorway access and public transport links. It is also close to a wide variety of retail, restaurants and leisure facilities.

James Digby, director at Ashfield Land, said: “We are delighted that Saffery Champness has committed to St Catherine’s Court, which is now fully let. They are a leading accountancy firm and they join the other high quality, successful companies that this excellent Grade A building has attracted.

“The other occupiers include leading property consultants GVA, global insurance broker Willis Group and international assurance group Lloyd’s Register and this demonstrates both the quality of the building and its location.”

Saffery Champness specialise in providing expert accounting, tax and audit advice to private clients and their business interests.

David Lemon, head of office for the Bristol Saffery Champness team, said: “We are delighted to be moving to St Catherine’s Court. The Bristol office has continued to expand over the past few years and the move will not only provide much needed additional space for further planned growth, but also a top quality professional working environment for the team and our visiting clients, which is important as we look to take the office forward.”

Ashfield Land completed the £15 million St Catherine’s Court development in June 2009. Constructed on the site of the former Bristol Steiner Waldorf School, it includes 31,000 sq ft of office space over ground and four upper floors with a secure basement car park. It achieved BREEAM Excellent accreditation and was the first new office building to be developed in Clifton for more than 20 years.

Major nearby occupiers include the BBC, Hargreaves Lansdown, Lloyds Banking Group, the University of Bristol and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
