Planning permission granted for Kingdom Services – Dumferline

06 Apr 2010

We are pleased to report that Fife Council unanimously granted outline planning permission for our mixed use employment scheme at Kingdom Services, Halbeath on 2nd December 2009.

The five-acre site situated outside Dunfermline is bounded by the M90, A92 and Crossgates Road and currently consists of a petrol filling station, shop, lorry parking and children’s soft play area. The approved scheme will provide two state-of-the-art car showrooms along with a number of employment units in a courtyard setting. This represents 4.457 sq m (47,975 sq ft) of accommodation plus associated parking.

The regeneration of Kingdom Services will dramatically improve the quality of the site and existing environs, create considerable opportunity for employment and improve the site’s visual connection with surrounding major road networks.

The scheme will be reconfigured from its existing layout so that it faces out onto the A92 therefore creating a bold and dynamic statement when seen from the A92 flyover known as the ‘Gateway to Fife’. With work also due to start on the proposed new £2 billion crossing over the River Forth in 2011, it will stand out as a flagship development which will rejuvenate and attract new businesses to the region.
